Bernanke: Surging Asian economies are leading world to recovery
The "impressive" performance of the Asian economies as they rebound from the global economic downturn is leading the world back to growth, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said at a conference on Asia. "Asia appears to be leading the global economic recovery," he said. At the same time, he warned that the enormous trade imbalances between the U.S. and its trading partners could take the world back into another economic crisis.
