Factory output is expanding in most major economies
Manufacturing is showing signs of a comeback. The sector is expanding in the U.S., according to the Institute for Supply Management. In Europe, Greece and Spain are reporting continued contraction, though at a slower rate than a year ago. Meanwhile, factory output is expanding in Britain, France and Germany. Among the big developing economies, Brazil, China and India are experiencing solid manufacturing growth, according to research firm Markit. The Economist
