Intel's outlook gives hope for rebound in computer industry
As chip-maker Intel announced third-quarter earnings, it also provided a positive outlook for this quarter, one that gives hope of rebound in the computer industry. Intel's earnings, with profit at 33 cents a share and revenue at $9.39 billion, beat analysts' estimates. The profit margin was 57.6%, but the company forecast a rise to 62% this quarter because demand for personal computers and smaller machines is expected to increase. The Wall Street Journal
